So you been going out with your SO (Significant Other) for some time now. You are falling madly in love with her every day, even when you are mad at her. In fact you are almost certain there’s no other woman for you but her. You have even gone as far as asking for her father’s blessing. Now all that’s left is for you to make the proposal a memorable one.
1. Take out a full page advert in her favourite magazine and send in a picture of your girlfriend with a ‘will you marry me?’ It’s a little costly, but isn’t she worth every penny?
2. Get a street busker to sing R Kelly’s Forever as you walk past him, then ask her if she can hear the song, get down on one knee and propose.
3. Make a reservation at her favourite restaurant, ask the staff for advice on the most romantic way to propose, whether by hiding the ring in her dessert or writing your proposal on a plate, you know your girlfriend so capitalize on that.
4. Write notes about what you love about her, stick them around the house leading to the dining area where you’ve prepared a candle lit dinner. When she gets to the table tell her the things you love about her and the things that make you want to spend the rest of your life with her.
5. A treasure hunt is a popular idea because of it’s ability to work wonders. So, send her on a treasure hunt to all her favourite hang out spots, with one clue leading to the prize, which at this point will be you. When she finally gets to you, propose to her.
