{Fashion} Wedding day outfit ideas – Mellow Yellow

This is a first in our series of fashion ideas for wedding day outfits for the upcoming summer season courtesy of fashion designer Anam Xinwa (see below for our interview with him). The first trend to consider to rock to your friend’s or relative’s big day is yellow.

Has anyone else noticed how popular yellow has become recently. It’s no mistake, this is the perfect colour for summer 2013. Wear yellow in your maxi dresses, blazers and blouses or your accessories for a touch of sunshine.

Summer is here and and yellow is the perfect colour to step out it in. It’s also perfect for a wedding outfit.

Anam Xinwa is a multi-talented and award winning fashion designer, who wears numerous hats, such as that of a chef and magazine editor at Ilaph’lam African Fashion Journal. The gifted fashion designer talked to us about what’s overrated, underrated and fashion items that are so 90’s.  So if you need to know what’s   trending or how to add a bit of vavavoom to you little black number for a wedding, Anam is your go to guy. What is in this summer?
T-shirts with bold graphics, also prints are still in fashion, the punk rock look is back.

What is overrated?
Twerking and wearing transparent leggings with crop tops, UGH!

What do you think is underrated?
Designers from small towns, we are the future!

What do you feel should remain in the ‘90’s?
The Mc. Hummer cuts that the younglings are doing now.
