This love story started off as an office friendship. Working in the same office, Amanda and Vukile slowly started to get to know one another over tea breaks and work functions. They started developing feelings for one another, and they kept in contact even when Amanda left the company.

When the proposal came Amanda was in complete shock as it was such an unexpected surprise. Vukile poured out his heart to Amanda and it sent her into a flurry of emotions – she didn’t know whether to pray, laugh, cry, jump or pace up and down! In the end she said yes.

Their wedding was in the freezing Natal Midlands with a temperature of 6°C. The venue was beautifully decorated to their theme of ‘Kings and Ribbons’ with the colours of peach, coral and blush pink. It was an elegant affair.

The highlight of Amanda’s day was being able to kiss her husband; their first kiss as a couple. Vukile was amazed by the splendour of seeing his bride walking down the aisle, and by the moment when they exchanged their vows.
The blissful couple then enjoyed a honeymoon of fine dining and exploring the winelands of the Cape, including Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Hermanus and Cape Town.
