Cynthia and Takunda’s love affair started off at a celebration of love – Takunda’s sister’s wedding. They had met before but what brought them together was when Cynthia expressed her interest in sport. Takunda was intrigued and tested her on her knowledge, quickly withdrawing when he discovered Cynthia’s knowledge was as good, if not better, than his.

The moment came for Takunda to propose after a romantic road trip through the Garden Route. The happy couple had spent a week travelling through Cape Town, George, Wilderness and Knysna and their final destination was Shamwari Game Reserve where the big question was popped.

Their wedding day was perfect. It was a day filled with love, not only from the newly-weds but from their friends and family who all came together to celebrate on this special day. Takunda says his highlight of the day was seeing his beautiful bride walking down the aisle.

After their perfect wedding day, Takunda whisked Cynthia off to the Maldives for their honeymoon. Takunda had managed to keep all the honeymoon plans a complete secret up until their arrival at the check-in counter.
