When and how did you meet? We met at work, Robin was a customer of the company I worked for. At first we would argue over work matters and didn’t really get along but after some time he would visit and flirt with me a bit. We went on date one Saturday afternoon and never stopped dating from then…
How did he propose? He took me away to Israel for three weeks and proposed at the garden tomb, for us it signifies a lot with regards to Christianity. It was really special and the fact that we were away was really romantic. He got down on one knee and popped out this amazing ring it was awesome. It was very emotional and I was shocked. At first I was lost for words but I couldn’t have been happier in that moment.
Please provide a short description of your wedding day. We loved every moment of it. SA Wedding Décor, especially Christo, did an amazing job. It was a dream come true, a fairy tale wedding of note. The flowers were simply stunning. Overall, it was a little glimpse of heaven for us.
If you could change one thing about your wedding day, what would it be? Honestly I don’t think I would change anything, the whole day was perfect.
What was the highlight of your day? Walking down the aisle and knowing I was going to be starting a new life with the man I love. Robin’s highlight was when I was walking down the aisle. He said I took his breath away and he was almost in tears.
How did it feel to finally stand next to each other as husband and wife? Fantastic. I don’t think there is a better feeling than that belonging and love expressed to each other. I had butterflies in my stomach and there was so much excitement and happiness all around us.
Where did you go on honeymoon? We went to a place called Mount Grace in Magaliesburg. It was superb, we really enjoyed our stay there.
What advice would you give to a bride-to-be? My advice would be that, if you can, please get a wedding planner like SA Wedding Décor. They made my life so easy and stress free. I enjoyed every bit of the planning with Christo, who was also the coordinator for the day. He was amazing from start to finish, well organised and experienced, he knew exactly what I wanted and exceeded my expectations. Remember to keep the focus on your relationship, don’t let it take strain because of your planning. Ultimately you are getting married to be together, so don’t allow hectic plans to push you apart.
