Where and how did you meet?

We met at Varsity at a church service at chapel. Tinyiko was a worshipper there and I was in a drama ministry.

How did he propose?

I don’t remember exactly, but we had a discussion about lobola. When he came to pay lobola he also proposed formally; he knelt down in front of my pastor and the congregation and asked for my hand in marriage. I was so surprised and happy.

Please provide a short description of your wedding day.

It was so exciting, colourful and regal. I felt as if I was getting married to a prince.

If you could change one thing about your wedding day, what would it be?

Nothing, everything was perfect.

What was the highlight of your day?

The dancing, the support from friends and families, the stunning decor and the music.

How did it feel to finally stand next to each other as husband and wife?

It’s felt as if it was the first time we were properly seeing each other. It was a dream come true.

Where did you go on honeymoon?

We went to different provinces – KZN, Mpumalanga and Gauteng and explored various resorts.

What advice would you give to a bride-to-be?

As soon as you know your wedding date, book a venue and hire a wedding planner. Then relax.

This was a very beautiful wedding, the village of Dzingidzingi is still taking about it.
