Koketso & Modise
Where and how did you meet?
We have known each other from our primary school days; and then met, by chance, 12 years later (2006) at a hair salon.
How did he propose?
Modise took me away for a weekend getaway – to Clarens in the Free State. When we got there he just said to me: “Love -this is long overdue”, and took out the ring and put it on my finger.
What was your wedding day like?
It was a beautiful Friday afternoon on the 6th April 2018 The atmosphere was filled with love, surrounded by family and friends. I was just in awe of how beautiful everything was – happy guests, happy couple and happy vibes all around.
If you could change one thing about your wedding day, what would it be?
The day went so quick, I wish we had more time for the celebrations.
What was the highlight of your day?
The ceremony: the two of us holding hands, making a commitment to each other in front of our family and friends. It was so beautiful and magical.
How did it feel to finally stand next to each other as husband and wife?
It was like a dream, It felt good to finally say ‘my husband’ when I got to make my speech .
Where did you go on honeymoon?
We are still planning for our honeymoon which will take place in September.
What advice would you give to a soon to be bride?
Plan as early as possible, ensure that you have enough support from friends and family, it make things easier.
