Where and how did you meet?

We met six years ago. Nic worked with my mom and we used to bump into each other at social functions. Years later he invited me to join him on the annual Toy Run. We just clicked and were inseparable after that.

How did he propose?

He proposed on Christmas Day. He hung a stocking on our tree and kept telling me that my Christmas present would be in the stocking. Finally, at midnight, we opened our presents. When I saw the little box I thought that he had bought me earrings…oops!

Please provide a short description of your wedding day?

Our wedding day was magical, a perfect representation of us both individually and as a couple. We had a clear vision of what we wanted from the very beginning and everything worked out. We wanted a classic look, romantic and elegant. It was absolutely surreal.

If you could change one thing about your wedding day, what would it be?

Absolutely nothing…it was amazing on all levels!

What was the highlight of your day?

There are no words to describe the feeling of walking down the aisle to marry your best friend… it was all so overwhelming and emotional, but the best feeling ever. I still get goosebumps looking at the photos and watching the video.

How did it feel to finally stand next to each other as husband and wife?

All the pressure from the preparations just evaporated…I don’t think it sank in until much later that we were finally married. It was definitely a dream come true.

Where did you go on honeymoon?

Zanzibar.

What advice would you give to a bride-to-be?

Take it all in your stride. Frustration is all part of the planning, but seeing it all come together is so rewarding. Enjoy your celebration, everyone else will.
