Oak House is one of the most glamorous of the town’s historic houses, an Edwardian gem that was built at the turn of the Century as the house of the General Manager of the mine.
It’s famous for being the home of the original safe where the internationally famous Cullinan diamond was kept before it was given to the Queen of England as a gift.
The venue is exquisitely decorated with period pieces that were shipped from England when the house was built.
