{Couple Talk} 5 lessons we learnt from LeAnne and Sipho Dlamini
LeAnne was only in high school when she met Sipho Dlamini, at church. At that time, he was managing RnB sensation Loyiso Bala. He suggested that she do some backing vocals on a song the local musician was working on, and everything just sort of spiraled from there. Here are five lessons that we’ve learned from their marriage.
1. If she/he is the one, surely they’re worth the wait.
When the couple met, LeAnne was still in high school, and Sipho had to wait a few years before they could start seeing each other.
2. Romance can spice things up
They were holidaying in Paris, when Sipho proposed at the top of the Eiffel Tower. We are not saying take your significant other to Paris to propose, but be creative to keep the romance alive in your relationship.
3. Pre-marital counselling is important
The couple’s need for things to be done right, saw them going for pre-marital counselling. “I think that is very important as you learn many things,” explains LeAnne.
4. Support one another 100%
A marriage should be a full on partnership and giving up should never be an option.
5. You must be friends
It is important that you develop a friendship before becoming lovers.
