Jannelle & Protasio

The couple met at church. “Meeting Pro was a stroke of sheer serendipity”, says Jannelle. “It was a chance meeting at church.”

“We were always at the same events, but we didn’t actually get together for two years, when a friend organised a lift for me with Pro… and as they say, the rest is history!”

Pro didn’t propose in the traditional way. “He said, ‘I’m going to your family to ask for your hand in marriage’ whilst nibbling on a chicken drumstick. He later surprised me with a ring just before he went to my parents to pay lobola.”

“Our wedding day was the epitome of class and elegance; we honestly can’t fault any service provider. Our décor was sublime and sophisticated and the venue provided us with the perfect backdrop. It was an emotional day and perfect in every sense of the word, truly a dream come true. We were both in our little love bubble – everything was a blur. It felt as if we were the only ones in the room.”

“I can’t stress how picking the right photographer makes a world of a difference; this is the one person who is in your face the whole day. It’s a good idea to have an engagement shoot to break the ice and get a feel for how the photographer operates. In addition, make sure you pick every service provider carefully. Don’t be shy to ask for a portfolio of previous work done.”
